“Ayden, you are the strongest person I know. You are a heart warrior, and I am so lucky to be your mom. Your scars will be with you forever to remind you to keep pushing until you feel like giving up. Never use them as a crutch, but rather for motivation. It has been a whirlwind of emotions over the years for our family but I couldn’t be more proud. I am absolutely amazed by you.

You were given two weeks to live, are now twelve! We spent the first couple months living in the hospital. They had to call code blue, that nearly killed me. We were told you’d need surgery right away, you had your first surgery at 8 months. You were to be on a medication for your heart stat, you were quickly taken off of it as it was not needed. After years, you had another surgery at age 4. We ahve had many bumps in the road but you have overcome them all. You surpassed all of the doctors expectations and keep them guessing. The road has not ended, but for now we live. As new obstacles come up for you, I will be here by your side. Always, Mom.” – Ayden’s Mom, September 2019.
